CITIZENSHIP PREPARATION PROGRAM
Through this course, we help participants prepare for the naturalization process through U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Students study one-on-one with a tutor and attend a class led by a teacher.
ADULT ENGLISH CLASSES
Focused on vocabulary, grammar, reading and writing, and features a heavy life-skills component that includes sections on financial literacy, emergency preparedness, and community resources.
TUTORING
Tailored to the needs of the individual student, a tutor is paired either one on one or with a small group of English language learners. Topics could include general fluency, citizenship test preparation, career preparedness and interview preparation, driver's license test preparation, literacy, or another topic as needs arise.
RISING READERS & RISING UP
In partnership with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Rising Readers focuses on preventing summer reading and learning loss for approximately 400 rising first through third-grade students who have been identified as Limited English Proficient (LEP). Rising Up focuses on increasing students' foundational literacy skills and English Language proficiency for third through fifth grade students identified as English Language Learners (ELL).
